Study of organic-inorganic hybrid compounds for electrochemical storage systems

WP 1

ORANGEES

Responsible: Enea
Duration: Month 1 – Month 36

WP1’s activity will focus on the study of organic-inorganic, or hybrid, materials for application in AE, battery, and SC systems, in order to identify their potential in terms of performance and sustainability, looking to the medium term.

For several years to come, the contribution of the inorganic component, albeit in a smaller proportion within a more complex hybrid matrix, will be essential to guarantee optimal, and therefore competitive, performance compared to what exists today.

Specifically, this WP includes numerous activities aimed at addressing various SAE problems , ranging from improving safety, with the development of hybrid (semi-)solid electrolytes, to increasing storage performance (mainly aimed at post-lithium technologies), which focuses on the use of conductive polymers to replace current solutions based on insulating binder and carbon black.
