Support activities for improving the performance and environmental/economic sustainability of next-generation electrochemical systems

WP4 has a multipurpose nature as it incorporates studies and developments aimed at providing both specific support to some of the activities present in the previous WPs and at being transversal to many of them, making available additional technical solutions capable of further extending the experimental matrix that can be investigated to mitigate some problems.
In particular, the following will be carried out:
1 – Theoretical/modeling simulation activity whose aim is to support the design of some of the materials studied in the previous WPs and help interpret their experimental behavior.
2 – LCA analyses called to offer an estimate of the degree of reduction of the environmental impact of the various solutions proposed in the project (e.g.: hybrid polymer electrodes).
3 – Development of functional texturing on surfaces present inside SAEs with the aim of confirming their beneficial potential in terms of final electrochemical performance.
