A €4 million joint project, coordinated by the National Research Council (CNR), aims to develop a new generation of high-performance green batteries. Researchers will focus on advanced, sustainable, safe, and low-cost materials, including those derived from agri-food industry waste. The goal is to contribute to the ambitious energy and climate goals of the European Union and Italy by reducing dependence on critical metals such as lithium and cobalt.
